CATEGORIES and AWARDS

This exhibition will recognize works of all skill levels.
Entries must be at least 60 % colored pencil. 2D works only.

ADVANCED CATEGORY - Original Artwork
Criteria:
• Open to anyone 18 years of age or older.
• Any colored pencil-based artworks completed in 2023 to present. (See Rules)
• Any artist who has previously had work(s) accepted into any CPSA International or ExploreThis! Exhibitions.
• Any CPSA signature member. Any entrant with CPSA or CPX signature status as of 1/01/26.
• Works which have had acceptance into local District Chapter exhibitions, or any non-CPSA exhibitions, will qualify for entry here. (See Rules for more info.)

Awards: 1st Place $300.   2nd Place $150.   3rd Place $75.   Three Honorable Mentions

 
EMERGING CATEGORY - Original Artwork
Criteria:
• Open to anyone 18 years of age or older.
• Any colored pencil-based artworks completed in 2023 to present. (See Rules)
• Any artist who has NOT had a work(s) accepted into any CPSA International or ExploreThis! Exhibitions.
• Works which have had acceptance into local District Chapter exhibitions, or any non-CPSA exhibitions, will qualify for entry here. (See Rules for more info.)
• NEW: Any artist who was in the Connecting the Lines 2025 Emerging Category is eligible for a second year in this category. (Two-year max Emerging Category limit.)

Awards: 1st Place $200.   2nd Place $100.   3rd Place $50.   Three Honorable Mentions

All awards will be sent to the winners within 30 days of the awards announcement.

This is a non-juried exhibition. Once screened, all entries that follow the exhibition criteria (see Rules) will be accepted. The exhibition judge is to facilitate the awarding of prizes only. The artist's names and locations will be unknown to the judge.

Note: We reserve the right to close any category due to lack of (or improper) submissions. Any entry fees will be promptly refunded via PayPal upon closure.
